We don't think this is large enough to express our feelings. In traveling several places around the world we decided on getting a metal roof when it was due. We searched several places and conducted much research along with prayer and ended up with contacting Delmarva Roofing.Mr. Evan came to our home in Md. and we discussed several things and what we were interested in. He didn't pressure us on anything but, allowed us to just talk and then, he showed several pics, displays and more. He was quite patient and professional. My wife called me several days later saying they were at the house looking around and on the roof. When the work began the crew was nice and explained what they were going to do and how long it should take to complete the mission. They (the crew) explained to us how they were going to do the install and how the metal roof works, how they were going to lay the poly foam into place and how sturdy it was. They are more excited about the style and color we chose than we were! They apologized for the noise beforehand and there was noise lol. The night they finished, I received a phone call around 10pm from my uncle talking about the storm. Did I hear the rain on our new roof, we were in the basement and never heard the rain hitting the roof or for that matter anything else. The next day another storm came through tossing trash cans and more. The only thing that move on the roof were leaves. The color and style of the roof is Rustic and looks great. Is the price high? Yes, but so is a luxury vehicle the only difference is we haven't lost money after leaving the lot. Now, she has increased my Honey Do List!We are very happy with the roof, color, style, workmanship, company, employees and we usually don't give 5-Stars is because there is always room for some type of improvement. But, with this company here... I will let others know the place the customer 1st!S & T of Maryland

I deal with Eric and Evan in a professional relationship and let me say its hard to find people that truly care about their customers and doing the right thing these days. If you are considering using them, rest assured you have the right people behind the company and they do truly care about your experience and will make it a great one. Its my pleasure to do business with Delmarva Metal Roofing in Delaware and Maryland.

Reasons To Get A Metal Roof

Metal is an amazing material. Strong, durable, and versatile, it has been used for centuries to make tools and weapons as well as roofs. This isn’t surprising considering a new metal roofing project lasts up to 50 years. Metal Roofs are also lightweight which makes them easy to transport and install on a variety of structures.

They can be customized with different colors or textures to match the aesthetic of your home or business. And because they’re made from recyclable materials, metal roofs not only look great but are environmentally friendly too!

If you want a new roof that will last for decades while adding value to your property then there is no better choice than metal roofing!

Metal roofs are less expensive than asphalt shingle roofs in the long run.

There are many reasons to get a metal roof by a licensed roofing contractor. One of the most obvious is that it will cost you less in the long run. Metal roofs have a much longer lifespan than asphalt shingle roofs, so they require fewer replacements and repairs over time.

That means not only saving money on installation but also reducing your energy bills by being more efficient with insulation. The environmental benefits are also worth noting, as metal roofs create less waste during manufacturing and disposal than asphalt shingle options do. The cost will vary, depending on the size and materials used in your roof. If you choose to have a standing seam metal roof installed with galvanized steel, it can be up to 50% more expensive than an asphalt shingle installation; however, it’s estimated that it will last twice as long, so that significant investment may even out at the end.

You’ll probably be hard-pressed to find a metal roof that resembles asphalt shingles in appearance. A standing seam metal roof is usually identified by its distinctive seams, which give it a modern and sleek look. The material also comes in various colors, from bright yellow and red to the more standard black or white. This means you can choose the look you prefer, and even coordinate its color with the rest of your home’s exterior.

A metal roof is also easy to clean, and it doesn’t hold the heat from the sun as much, which means cooling costs will be lower during summer months when compared to asphalt shingle selections. When you hire a professional roofing contractor for this type of work, you should be able to enjoy your new roof for years to come. As a professional roofing company, we stock all products and are your professional reputable roofing contractor of choice.

Another reason to consider a metal roof is that it can help make your home more secure. The material is fire-resistant and will protect the interior of your structure in case of an unexpected blaze. Also, metal doesn’t leak like asphalt shingles do because of their composition.

An additional benefit of a metal roof is noise reduction. Because metal doesn’t absorb sound waves as much as other materials do, you’ll be less likely to hear your neighbors or hear what’s going on outside in bad weather. Your roof will also last longer because it doesn’t need to be replaced as often.

If you’re thinking about installing a metal roof with our professional roofing company, you will also benefit from the reduced risk of mold or mildew. Metal doesn’t allow even moisture to get through – and therefore, there’s no place for these substances to grow.

They’re safer and more durable than other roofing materials.

A metal roof is made from aluminum and steel. It’s a reliable, long-lasting material that doesn’t need much upkeep to look good for many years.

Created for the elements. The main advantage of a metal roof is its durability under harsh weather conditions like high winds, snow, ice, hail, and rain. Another one of their great features is their ability to reflect heat.

A metal roof is also fireproof and watertight, so it’s an ideal choice for areas with high winds or frequent heavy rains. It requires no maintenance and lasts long enough that you’ll likely see a return on your investment in years to come.

Metal roofs last twice as long as asphalt shingles, and they’re also stronger and quieter than most other options.

They come in a variety of colors, styles, and textures to match your home’s exterior.

They can be used to match other metals, such as your home’s siding and railing. Metal roofs come in different styles and colors for each situation; choose one that matches your particular style. They reflect the sun’s heat away from the home, keeping it cooler in the summer months. Because metal reflects the heat instead of absorbing it as a shingle does, your home can be kept cooler in the summer. Keeping your home cooler in the summer will reduce energy costs and prevent damage to areas that are prone to heat/cold damage (i.e., insulation, ductwork, etc.). Metal roofs installed by a licensed roofing company help your property sell faster. Getting a metal roof installed on your house by a licensed and insured roofing contractor instantly increases its value because of the energy and maintenance savings. A metal roof can be installed in fewer steps than that of a shingle roof, especially if you don’t need to remove your siding. Metal roofs can save on energy costs by keeping homes cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. When they become old or damaged, they are much easier to replace or repair than a traditional shingle or tile roof. You can choose from a variety of materials and styles, including high-quality copper roofing.

They are ideal for homes with low-pitched roofs because they are so easy to install. The design options, including the color and texture, are almost limitless when compared to other materials.

They last twice as long as asphalt shingle roofs.

How many years can you expect your asphalt shingles to last? Consider that if you live in a moderately windy climate, about 10% of the shingles are going to blow off each year. So in a 20-year period, almost half of the shingles will be gone. During those first 10 years, you’re paying for roof installation and maintenance on top of all your other expenses – hoping that by the end, it’ll still look nice.

      How do Metal Roofs Compare?

An asphalt shingle roof has a life expectancy of 20 to 30 years, depending on the area. During that time period, you will be replacing about 50% of the shingles. A metal roof can last twice as long – double the money saved!

On top of that, metal roofs are fireproof. They don’t make sparks when they burn! If you live in a wildfire zone, your house might be the only one left standing if everyone else’s roofs are wood or shingles. When Metal roofs are installed by roofing contractors, they have flashings for every penetration point to keep water out and don’t rot as wood does.

Metal roofs are also much quieter than asphalt shingles, so if you live in an urban area or just want to enjoy the sound of rain on a roof without hearing every leaf that falls onto your neighbor’s roof, metal is for you.

A metal roof will reflect heat away from your house.

This is very important, especially in the summer. It will keep your house cool during the summer months, which means you can save money on air conditioning. Metal roofs are self-cleaning and will not fade due to sun exposure like asphalt shingles do. Metal roofs are tougher and more durable than asphalt shingles. If your metal roof is properly installed, it should never have to be replaced. Although they do cost more to install, the long-term savings will outweigh any additional upfront investment. Roofs with a short life span are one of the biggest expenses to your home maintenance budget.

If you live in an area that experiences thunderstorms or hail on a regular basis, it is imperative for you to have a metal roof installed on your home. The ability of metal roofing to withstand hail damage is second to none. A metal roof is more wind resistant than asphalt shingles and will not be lifted or torn off your home in strong winds.

Metal roofs are 100% recyclable. No matter if you want to upgrade the color of your home, you can do so without worrying about getting rid of your old roof. Metal roofs are specially designed to allow you to install solar panels on top of them.

When metal is recycled it doesn’t release toxic fumes.

One reason to get a metal roof is that if you have an old steel structure, it will look better with a new metal roof installed by professional roofing contractors. The same can be said for concrete or asphalt roofs. Asphalt and concrete are organic materials, they break down sooner or later when exposed to the elements which release toxic fumes. If there is nothing covering the original concrete or asphalt, they will break down and the cement and target exposed to water which begins a process of oxidation. This is why after several decades, your roof will start to leak in some areas. Metal roofs can last for up to 50 years with no maintenance as long as you choose the right metal roof material and the right roofing company and project manager.

Metal roofs work better for your environment.

If you are concerned about the environment, then getting a metal roof is the best thing you can do. There is no question that asphalt and concrete will release toxic fumes when exposed to water or they decompose over time. This doesn’t mean they won’t last as long as they say it will, it just means you are going to have a old roof that will last for several decades while your family is breathing in the fumes, and with each rainfall or snowfall you will get toxic contaminants.

It is important to do your research before you hire roofing companies. The following questions will help you get started:

      1) What type of warranty does the roofing company offer?

      2) Are there any guarantees on materials and workmanship with a roofing contractor?

      3) Is the roofing contractor licensed, have workman’s comp insurance, project manager, and carry general liability insurance?

      4) How long has this roofing company been in business?

      5) How many roofing project have they done so far this year?

      6) Does the company provide references from past clients or other roofing contractors who can speak about their experience working with them or refer them as good roofing contractor, and a written estimate?

      7) What makes you a reputable roofing company or roofing contractor?

      8) What roofing questions should I be asking and what roofing material do you use and manufacturer guidelines?

      9) What are your general liability insurance limits?

      10) What’s included in roofing companies estimates and what happens to the old roof?

      11) What is included with my new roof?

      12) What type of roofing materials will be used by your roofing company?

      13) How many years of experience does the roofing company have installing a new roof?
